Calling Hawkesbury Bands, Solo Artists & Duos!

Know someone in a local band? Or a solo artist or duo who deserves a bigger audience?

RGs is putting local talent centre stage with Battle of the Bands, taking over the Courtyard for two huge nights of live music on Friday 13 & Saturday 14 November.

We’re looking for artists from across The Hawkesbury to get involved, get their music heard and battle it out for cash prizes and recording studio time at Studio Bleus.

So, if you know a local muso who should be up there tell them to sign up! It’s a chance to get in front of a live crowd, showcase original music and be part of a weekend celebrating the talent we have right here in our local community.

Judging Categories

Judges Choice Band

‍1st - $1600 Cash & a studio recording session with Studio Bleus valued at $400
2nd - $800 Cash Peoples Choice Band

Peoples Choice Band

$600 Cash

Judges Choice Solo or Duo

1st - $600 Cash & a studio recording session with Studio Bleus valued at $400
2nd - $500 Cash

Peoples Choice Solo or Duo

$200 Cash

Terms & Conditions

Before applying, please ensure you are available on Friday 13 & Saturday 14 November 2026. Band bump in and briefing times will be communicated prior to the event, with performances commenceing from 6pm until late
Solo artist must reside in Hawkesbury LGA
Duo/Band- 50% of the Group must reside in the Hawkesbury LGA
Performances must include a minimum of one original track
Each Band will be allocated 25 Minutes to perform on Friday 13 or Saturday 14 November 2026
Entries Close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 30 September 2026
Judges decisions are final
Prizes must be taken as is
Failure by a band, or any member of a band, to comply with these Terms & Conditions
may result in disqualification from RG McGees Battle of the Bands
Entries deemed offensive on the basis of race, gender, religion, or sexuality are ineligible for entry
All performances may be recorded and used online by Watering Hole Hotels and their sponsors or event partners for promotional, and marketing purposes
RG McGees, Watering Hole Hotels and event sponsors accept no liability to the fullest extent permitted by law for any loss, damage, injury, or consequential loss arising from participation in Battle of the Bands, whether caused by negligence or otherwise
RG McGees, Watering Hole Hotels and event sponsors reserve the right to amend, update, or vary these Terms & Conditions at any time at its sole discretion
Places are limited for each category. Entries will be reviewed and entrants notified of their successful entry by Tuesday 6 October 2026.
